It started with a vision. 👁️
I rarely use sketchbooks to house creative ideas for my art...
Sometimes, inspiration comes suddenly, and I grab the nearest post-it or notepad to sketch it out. I'll see a quick vision of something in my head, and I sketch it out on paper as quickly as I can with as much detail as I can remember. Then I create it. Not everything goes from sketch to fully realized art immediately. I have so many random post-it notes and sketches that have yet to be made.
Sometimes, I sit down to create and know exactly what I want to make. I know exactly what story I want to tell.
Sometimes, I just sit with a blank page and let the creativity pour out in whichever way it goes.
No matter how the art is made, every piece comes together differently. They each their own journey.
I call this one, "They Who Glowed Like The Sun". When I saw this in my head, it was outlined in red. But it has taken on a completely different look. It's so fun, colorful, and "summery".
I usually post my art and go, but I feel called to talk more about my creative process. Hopefully, this gives you some insight into how my art comes to be. ☀️
